Native to Southeast Queensland, Lemon Myrtle is beautiful, evergreen rainforest shrub/small tree 2 - 8m. Through Spring and Summer this tree produces fluffy creamy white to pale lemon flowers and fragrant, dark green edible leaves, that can be used dried or fresh in cooking and herbal teas. I use the leaves to make a lemon and garlic sauce, which is delicious on grilled fish.
